Shipping & Export Clerk
Location: City of Industry, CA
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Pay Rate: 20+ DOE
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Export Clerk to support domestic and international shipping operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preparing shipments, verifying shipping documentation, maintaining records, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. The ideal candidate will have shipping experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to work with large, sensitive equipment.
Responsibilities
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, and purchase orders.
- Package, label, and prepare products for domestic and international shipment.
- Process shipping documentation and export-related data accurately.
- Coordinate shipment methods and ensure compliance with shipping requirements.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Use forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and scissor lifts to move materials and equipment.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure shipment and export accuracy.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2-5 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or export experience.
- Experience with international shipping and export documentation preferred.
- Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn ERP and shipping systems quickly.
- Experience with inventory, manufacturing, and shipping software preferred.
- Basic knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100 standards is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move materials exceeding 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
